"bums in the sun" is an ongoing series of editions by california makers of things--makers of drawings, of photos, instructions, dances, communities, gardens, music, babies, rivers, machines, essays--makers of a better california and a better earth. for this series we only ask that whatever you want to make be made available in an edition of 100. fifty copies go to the person responsible, and we distribute the rest as far and as wide as we can. the first volume of "bums in the sun" is a little book of drawings "from the mind" by peter fischbeck. the second volume of "bums in the sun" is a box of photographs by david horvitz illustrating a california tour with the bands high places, soft circle, and lucky dragons. we'll be making new volumes as often as possible... if you'd like to nominate someone you know--or maybe even someone you don't know but admire from afar--to create a volume of "bums in the sun", please get in touch and we will see if we can make it happen!
