sumi ink club created the window display for family bookstore here in los angeles: hand-painted wood cutouts of a reclining male nude with a shadow partner, resting in a field of sumi designs. reaction from customers and neighbors has been colorful and spirited, so sumi ink club put up an open call for poems written in response to the installation, which have been collected and presented in this booklet along with an array of details from the drawings. nice!
